How we met
Brent and I met the old fashion way: on the internet. We exchanged several emails and texts before meeting at last in a mexican restaurant in Sherman Oaks. Brent was dressed extra fancy in a button up collared shirt. He even wore closed toed shoes (and for those of you who know him well, that doesn't happen often.)
I wish I could tell everyone the name of the place but neither the restaurant nor the food was very memorable. The company, however, was unforgettable.
Our second date was at Father's Office in Santa Monica, where they have the best burger on the planet. After dinner we went for a walk and got frozen yogurt. We sat and enjoyed tasty dessert while we watched a crazy lady feed several WHOLE bagels to a stranger's yellow lab that was tied to a lamp post. When the man caught her he totally (and understandably) freaked out.
Afterwards we took a walk along Santa Monica bluffs where we shared our first kiss. Nearly a year later, while taking that same walk, Brent knelt down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

Brent and I were trying not to be too picky while choosing a reception venue. Since we were planning a wedding in such a short time frame we needed to stay open minded. But when we had dinner at Shanghai Red's we knew that was where we would celebrate our marriage.

Fun fact about the Tar Pits: the words "la brea' mean "the tar" in spanish so the when you say "the la brea tar pits" it literally translates to "the the tar tar pits" what fun!
The most beautiful museum in LA. It's free, however, parking is not. It's located just 14 miles north of Marina Del Rey on the 405.
Also free to go and expensive to park($15.) You need to make a reservation in advance. The Villa is located in Malibu about 9 miles north of Marina Del Rey on PCH.
The NHM has a new dinosaur exhibit that features the T.rex growth series, the only trio of differently aged T. rex specimens in the world.
Ten miles northeast of the Marina. Exhibits avaiable during July are; James Turrell: A Retrospective, Hans Richter: Encounters, Construction/Deconstruction: Defining Architectural Photography, Pictorial Relationships in Tibetan Thangka Painting and Furniture, Part II: Animals, and more.
Ever heard of a little space shuttle called the Endeavour? Come see it in person in the Samuel Oschin Space Shuttle Endeavour Display Pavilion at the California Science Center.
